The Ghostbusters reunite to combat a new paranormal threat emerging in New York City, five years after their battle with Gozer the Gozerian. A massive river of ectoplasm has been discovered, and the city is plagued by supernatural chaos as malevolent spirits are empowered by negative human emotions. The team must once again band together to save the world from destruction, while also navigating personal relationships and professional setbacks.
