Frederick Allan Moranis is a Canadian actor, comedian, musician, producer, songwriter, and writer born on April 18, 1953. He rose to fame in the 1980s with roles in sketch comedy series Second City Television (SCTV) and numerous Hollywood films, including Ghostbusters and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. After a personal tragedy, Moranis took a long break from acting but has since reprised roles in animated films like Brother Bear and signed to reprise his role in a new Honey, I Shrunk the Kids sequel.
