Strange Brew

A 1983 comedy film starring the popular SCTV characters Bob and Doug McKenzie, portrayed by Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis, who also served as co-directors, about two unemployed brothers who screen a poorly made film in their theater and use it as leverage to get free beer from the local brewery. They soon discover that the evil Brewmeister Smith is plotting to take over the world by adulterating Elsinore beer with a mind control drug, and must confront his sinister plans to save the day. Along the way, they stumble upon a mysterious plot involving their father's death, their uncle's involvement in the scheme, and Pam, the brewery's new owner, who just happens to be their long-lost cousin. With its absurd humor and ridiculous antics, Strange Brew has become a cult classic that continues to delight audiences with its outrageous blend of action, comedy, and sci-fi.
