The Tenant

A quiet and unassuming man rents an apartment in Paris where he finds himself drawn into a rabbit hole of dangerous paranoia. As Trelkovsky, he becomes increasingly disturbed by the apartment and its tenants, frequently seeing his neighbors standing motionless in the toilet room and discovering strange clues around him. His mental state progressively deteriorates as he suspects that his neighbors are trying to subtly change him into the last tenant, Simone, so that he too will kill himself. The film builds towards a terrifying climax as Trelkovsky's grip on reality slips further, culminating in a chilling and haunting conclusion.
