A Kid for Two Farthings

"A Kid for Two Farthings" is a 1955 British comedy-drama film directed by Carol Reed, based on Wolf Mankowitz's novel of the same name. The story follows Joe, played by Jonathan Ashmore, a young boy who lives with his mother Joanna, Celia Johnson, in working-class London and dreams of making wishes come true. With the help of Mr. Kandinsky, David Kossoff, a tailor who fills his head with imaginative stories, Joe sets out to buy a goat he believes is a real unicorn, determined to prove that wishes can indeed be granted.
