Night Patrol

Melvin White, a neurotic, accident-prone cop, is demoted to the night shift and secretly moonlights as the Unknown Comic, an anonymous stand-up comedian who performs with a paper bag over his head. When a thief begins to rob bars at gunpoint while disguised as The Unknown Comic, White must track down the impersonator while keeping his stand-up comedian identity a secret. His investigation is complicated by his attraction to his partner, Officer Sue Perman.
