The Devil and Max Devlin

Max Devlin, a shady landlord, is killed in an accident and sent to Hell, where he meets the devil's chief henchman, Barney Satin. Barney tells Max that if he can get three innocent youngsters to sell their souls in the next two months, he may stay on Earth. Max agrees and returns to life, equipped with special powers, and begins his frantic quest to find Stella Summers, Nerve Nordlinger, and Toby Hart, who are his targets for soul collection. Along the way, Max charms his way into their lives, landing a recording contract for Stella, training Nerve as a motorbike racer, and spending time with Toby while helping his mother, Penny, operate a day care facility.
