The Cat and the Fiddle

In this 1934 romantic musical, struggling composer Victor Florescu (Ramon Novarro) tries to bring his operetta to opening night despite various setbacks, including the departure of his leading lady and male lead. He then turns to singer Shirley Sheridan (Jeanette MacDonald), who is torn between her artistic ambitions and an arranged marriage to an affluent but unfaithful fiancé.
