The Day of the Doctor

In 2013, the Eleventh Doctor and Clara Oswald are brought to the National Gallery to investigate missing figures from three-dimensional paintings. In 1562, the Tenth Doctor discovers that shapeshifting Zygons have infiltrated the court of Elizabeth I. The War Doctor plans to trigger a sentient superweapon called the Moment to destroy both sides of the Time War. The Moment introduces the three Doctors, including the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith), Tenth Doctor (David Tennant), and the War Doctor (John Hurt), to 1562 England. The Doctors uncover a Zygon plot, stop a nuclear war, and ultimately save Gallifrey by suspending it in a pocket universe.
