In this 1977 television film, Richard Chamberlain plays both King Louis XIV and his twin brother, Philippe, who was spirited away at birth to be raised in secret. When Louis is deemed unfit to rule, Louis' friend and fellow Musketeer, Louis Jourdan's character D'Artagnan, joins with Cardinal Mazarin's former ally, Ralph Richardson's Jean-Baptiste Colbert, to bring down the corrupt finance minister, Patrick McGoohan's Nicolas Fouquet, and replace Louis with Philippe.
