Biography

Patrick Joseph McGoohan was an Irish-American actor, director, producer, and writer born on March 19, 1928, in New York City to Irish parents. He rose to fame as the secret agent John Drake in the ITC espionage programme Danger Man (1960–68) and created the surrealistic ITV series The Prisoner (1967–68), where he starred as former British intelligence agent Number Six. McGoohan also had notable film roles, including King Edward I in Braveheart (1995).
