K-PAX

A psychiatric patient claiming to be from planet K-PAX, Prot, is committed to a hospital after his extraterrestrial story gains unwavering support from other patients. Dr. Mark Powell, played by Jeff Bridges, attempts to help him, but Prot's knowledge and abilities, such as seeing ultraviolet light, make it difficult for the doctor to doubt his claims. As the investigation unfolds, Prot's past and connection to a human alter ego, Robert Porter, are revealed, leaving Dr. Powell with no clear answer about Prot's true nature.
