A successful mod photographer in London, Thomas, feels his life is boring and despairing, with a world bounded by fashion, pop music, marijuana, and easy sex. However, in the course of a single day, he unknowingly captures a death on film. Thomas is a successful man, judging by his Rolls Royce coupé, but he is in a park when he espies a couple and takes some snaps, including a woman, Jane, who is furious at being photographed. As Thomas tries to return the film to Jane, he discovers that it may have revealed a murder, and his life becomes a surreal and thrilling mystery.
