This Was a Woman

This Was a Woman is a 1948 British crime film directed by Tim Whelan and starring Sonia Dresdel as Sylvia Russell, a power-hungry matriarch who manipulates and controls her husband and children. She subtly ruins her daughter's marriage and breaks her son-in-law's confidence, while also taking advantage of her husband's illness to further her own ambitions.
