In post-Civil War America, Giuliano Gemma's character, Michael 'California' Random, seeks a new life, but the ghosts of the war follow him to Missouri, where he falls in love with Willy Preston's sister, played by Paola Dominguín. When Willy is killed by a gang of criminals, California must choose between his newfound peace and defending his love against the outlaws, led by the ruthless Raimund Harmstorf.
