Mysterious Skin

The film "Mysterious Skin" tells the story of two pre-adolescent boys, Neil McCormick and Brian Lackey, both of whom experience life-altering events in Hutchinson, Kansas during the summer of 1981. Neil is sexually abused by his Little League coach, which leaves him developing an attraction to older men and eventually engaging in sex work. Brian suffers from chronic nosebleeds, blackouts, and incontinence after the night he finds himself in a crawl space with no memory of the intervening five hours, leading him to suspect he may have been abducted by aliens as a child. The two boys meet again years later, with Neil revealing the truth about his abuse and Brian breaking down after uncovering his repressed memories.
