Biography
Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt is an American actor and filmmaker born on February 17, 1981, in Los Angeles to a Jewish family. He began his acting career as a child, earning a Young Artist Award for his role in Angels in the Outfield (1994), before taking a break to study at Columbia University. He returned to acting with notable roles in 500 Days of Summer (2009) and The Walk (2015).
