Brestskaya krepost

The film "Brestskaya krepost" (2010) tells the story of the heroic defence of the Brest Fortress against the German invaders on June 22, 1941, from the perspective of 12-year-old Sasha Akimov, whose family is killed in the Spanish Civil War. The film's plot is based on historical facts and follows the three main resistance zones, led by regiment commander Pyotr Mikhailovich Gavrilov, Regimental Commissar Yefim Moiseevich Fomin, and head of the 9th frontier outpost Andrey Mitrofanovich Kizhevatov, as they fight to hold out against the German siege. As Sasha becomes embroiled in the battle, he must confront the horrors of war and ultimately play a crucial role in the defense of the fortress.
