The Arrangement

Kirk Douglas stars as Eddie Anderson, a successful Los Angeles-area advertising executive, in this 1969 drama film. The movie follows Eddie's struggles with his marriage, career, and father, as well as his torrid affair with his co-worker Gwen, played by Faye Dunaway, and his increasing mental instability. As Eddie confronts his priorities and desires, he finds himself at odds with his family, including his wife Florence, played by Deborah Kerr, and his father, Sam, played by Richard Boone. Ultimately, Eddie's journey takes him to a psychiatric hospital, where he grapples with the consequences of his choices and the desire to reconnect with his loved ones.
