Biography

Michael Higgins was born on January 20, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York City. He made his Broadway debut at age 19 in Antigone (1946) and later starred in the original production of Peter Shaffer's Equus, alongside Peter Firth as the youth. Higgins also appeared in notable films such as State and Main (2000), Angel Heart (1987), and The Black Stallion (1979). He passed away on November 5, 2008.
