Tokugawa onna keibatsu-shi

In 1968, Teruo Ishii directed Shogun's Joy of Torture, a Japanese film exploring the dark side of judicial cruelty in Edo period Japan. The movie features three tales of heinous crimes committed by women, and the brutal punishments that ensued. Teruo Yoshida stars as Judge Yoshioka in the first segment, recounting the story of Mitsu, who is tortured and executed for her incestuous relationship with her brother. Reiko Mikasa plays Hana, a model who becomes the subject of a tattoo artist's twisted inspiration.
