The Devil's Arithmetic

Hannah Stern (Kirsten Dunst), a disinterested American-born Jewish adolescent, is transported back in time to a Nazi death camp in 1941 after having a supernatural experience. There, she meets Rivkah (Brittany Murphy), a fellow captive, and as they struggle to survive amidst daily atrocities, they form an unbreakable bond. As Hannah navigates this treacherous new world, Rivkah shares the story of Chaya, her namesake cousin, introducing Hannah to the tradition and heritage she had previously dismissed.
