The Exterminator

When Vietnam veteran John Eastland (Robert Ginty) is attacked by a group of thugs while trying to help his paralyzed best friend, Michael Jefferson, he transforms into a violent killer on a crusade of vigilante justice in New York City. The film's relentless bleakness follows Eastland as he offes serious low-life's in a number of gruesome ways, reveling in the rotten nature of society and targeting various Mafia figures, child prostitution ring leaders, and state politicians who exploit the vulnerable. Detective James Dalton (Christopher George) is actively pursuing Eastland, while the CIA also becomes involved in monitoring his actions.
