Richard Wyler plays Luke Chilson, a notorious bounty hunter pursuing Tomas Milian's character José Gómez through the desert and into a Mexican village where he becomes trapped by the locals unaware of the danger. The film marks the debut of Tomas Milian in the western genre and was the first Spanish western to receive state funding for its artistic value.
