Blue Steel is a 1990 American neo-noir action thriller film directed by Kathryn Bigelow and starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Officer Megan Turner. The film follows Turner's life after she shoots an unarmed robber dead on her first day of active duty, only to be accused of killing him and embroiled in a series of murders committed by Eugene Hunt, a commodities trader who takes the gun from the crime scene. As Turner teams up with Detective Nick Mann to clear her name and catch Hunt, they engage in a cat-and-mouse game of wits, with Turner struggling to reconcile her growing feelings for Hunt with his increasingly violent and obsessive behavior.
