In the majestic backdrop of the Nepalese Himalayas, a centuries-old tradition is put to the test as villagers prepare for their annual trek to exchange salt for grain. The rivalries and allegiances within the community come to a head between aging chieftain Tinle and rebellious young Karma, each vying for leadership and claiming their rightful place in the caravan's destiny. Against the harsh beauty of the high plateau and the lowlands below, two men must confront their own karmic destinies and the delicate balance between tradition and progress.
