In the 1948 film noir drama "Road House," Ida Lupino stars as Lily Stevens, a torch singer who becomes infatuated with Cornel Wilde's character, Pete Morgan, but is instead pursued by Richard Widmark's character, Jefty Robbins. As their relationships become increasingly complicated, Pete finds himself framed for embezzlement and must clear his name while escaping Jefty's murderous wrath.
