Boss Nigger

Boss Nigger is a 1974 comedy Western film about two black bounty hunters, Boss and Amos, who ride into a small town out West and take over as sheriff after discovering there's no one in charge. They keep the peace and enforce "Black Laws" while dealing with White townsfolk like Miss Pruit, a schoolteacher who earns their forgiveness and develops a romantic interest in Boss. As they confront Jed Clayton's gang, Boss is kidnapped, tortured, and eventually fatally wounded by Mayor Griffin before being taken to safety by Amos.
