The Last Snow of Springtime

In "The Last Snows of Spring" (1973), 10-year-old Luca (Renato Cestiè) struggles to cope with his father Roberto's (Bekim Fehmiu) neglect due to workaholic tendencies and a new relationship with Veronica (Agostina Belli). As Luca's health begins to deteriorate from leukemia, he finds solace in spending time with Veronica, who helps him reconnect with his father. The film builds towards a heart-wrenching finale as Roberto comes to terms with the impending loss of his son.
