Kinmontô ni kakeru hashi

"Kinmon-tou ni kakeru hashi" tells the story of Ichiro Takeo, a young physician who left Japan after a medical error caused the death of a prominent politician. Three years later, he sets sail for Kinmon Island in Taiwan, where he reunites with the Taiwanese girl, Yan, who had helped him during his time in Japan. As war rages on, their old flame is rekindled, and they must confront their complicated past amidst the chaos of war. The film follows Takeo's journey as he navigates his feelings for Yan, while also coming to terms with his own guilt and regret.
