Female Prisoner Scorpion: Beast Stable

Meiko Kaji stars as Nami Matsushima in this 1973 film, following her successful prison break as she hides out in a brothel where her prostitute friend tries to keep her identity secret from the madam, who recognizes her as the ex-girlfriend of the vice officer who killed her lover. Yayoi Watanabe plays Matsushima's young friend and protector, Yuki Nakagawa. After a series of violent confrontations with Katsu, the brothel's owner, and Detective Kondo, who is determined to capture her, Matsushima escapes into the sewer where she finds temporary refuge with Yuki, who helps her survive for a week before being discovered by the police.
