Flight Command

Ens. Alan Drake (Robert Taylor), a rookie flyer, faces challenges as he joins the Hellcats Squadron, including a disastrous first day on the job and rumors of an affair with his commanding officer's wife, Lorna Gray (Ruth Hussey). Despite initial struggles, Drake proves himself through his heroism in saving his CO's life during an emergency, turning around his reputation among his fellow pilots. With the help of Lieutenant Jerry Banning, Drake uncovers a problem with a blind-landing apparatus, leading to a personal connection with Lorna and ultimately earning her respect and admiration.
