Homeland

"Homeland" is a 2014 Japanese drama film directed by Nao Kubota, following Jiro (Kenichi Matsuyama), a sophomore in high school who returns to his hometown in Fukushima Prefecture after being falsely accused and driven out of the village. After the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, which left the entire village abandoned, Jiro's family eventually joins him. The film explores themes of return home, false accusations, and the aftermath of natural disaster.
