The Bank Dick

W.C. Fields stars as Egbert Sousé, a hard-drinking, henpecked family man who accidentally thwarts a bank robbery and ends up a bank security guard as a result. Set in Lompoc, California, the film follows Sousé's misadventures as he convinces his teller friend Og Oggilby to lend him money to invest in a questionable mining operation. But when bank inspector J. Pinkerton Snoopington arrives unexpectedly, Sousé must use his wits and cunning to outsmart the authorities and keep his ill-gotten gains.
