Torch Singer

In this 1933 Paramount Pictures film, Claudette Colbert plays Sally Trent, aka Mimi Benton, a young woman who gives up her illegitimate child for adoption and pursues a career as a torch singer to support herself. Years later, she searches for the child she gave up and eventually finds her through a children's radio program. Along the way, she must confront her past and the choices that led her there, with support from characters like Michael "Mike" Gardner (David Manners) and Tony Cummings (Ricardo Cortez).
