She rose to prominence in the 1930s and 1940s with notable roles in films like "Cleopatra," "It Happened One Night," and "Since You Went Away." Colbert won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her work in "It Happened One Night" (1934) and later appeared in various stage productions and TV specials.
