The Argyle Secrets

Reporter Harry Mitchell (William Gargan) is framed for murder and must locate a book containing the names of American war profiteers and traitors who collaborated with the Nazis during World War II. He teams up with Marla (Marjorie Lord), a woman claiming to be a friend, and Panama Archie (Jack Reitzen), a heavyset man with ties to a fence for stolen goods, in a race against Winter's gang, including Winter (John Banner).
