Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy find themselves in a precarious predicament when they're ordered out of town by angry Judge Beaumont due to their vagrancy. Their lives take an unexpected turn after assisting a drunk gentleman who invites them to stay at his luxurious mansion, where they inadvertently get caught up in the judge's personal affairs.
