Vengeance Is Mine

This haunting film adaptation of Ryūzō Saki's novel tells the true story of serial killer Akira Nishiguchi through the eyes of Iwao Enokizu, a charismatic and ruthless thief, murderer, and ladies' man on the run from the police. As Enokizu's dark past unfolds in a series of unsettling flashbacks, his brutal crimes are juxtaposed with the societal norms and hypocrisy of post-war Japan, revealing a seedy underbelly of civilised society.
