Biography

Taiji Tonoyama was a renowned Japanese character actor and close friend of Kaneto Shindo, who collaborated on numerous films. He also co-founded the film company Kindai Eiga Kyokai in 1950 with Shindo and Kōzaburō Yoshimura. A prolific performer from 1939 to 1989, Tonoyama is notable for his roles in "Vengeance Is Mine" (1979), "Toi ippon no michi" (1978), and "Edo Porn" (1981).
