Hitokiri

The film "Hitokiri" (1969) is a Japanese action and drama set during the end of the Tokugawa shogunate in the 1860s. It follows Okada Izō (Shintarō Katsu), a rōnin who joins the Tosa clan under Takechi Hanpeita (Tatsuya Nakadai), only to find himself caught up in a web of loyalty, betrayal, and violence. As Izō navigates this treacherous world, he must confront his own morality and ultimately face the consequences of his actions.
