In this 1984 French comedy, Philippe Noiret plays René Boirond, a streetwise Paris policeman who takes kickbacks from minor criminals on his beat. He's assigned an idealistic new partner, François Lesbuche (Thierry Lhermitte), fresh from police academy, and sets out to corrupt him. As the two navigate their mismatched partnership, they become embroiled in a heroin heist, leading to chaos and eventual consequences for René's corrupt ways.
