Philippe Noiret
Biography
Philippe Noiret was a French film actor born in Lille, France on October 1, 1930. He trained at the Centre Dramatique de l'Ouest and toured with the Théâtre National Populaire before developing a career as a nightclub comedian. His screen debut came in 1949's Gigi, followed by notable roles in Agnès Varda's La Pointe Courte and Jean-Paul Rappeneau's A Matter of Resistance, cementing his success in France with Yves Robert's Alexandre le Bienheureux.
