Very Happy Alexander

In this biting satire of rural France, Philippe Noiret stars as a hapless farmer driven to exhaustion by his tyrannical wife and societal expectations. After her untimely death in a car crash, he seizes the opportunity to abandon his labors and indulge in a life of leisure, setting free his livestock and retreating to bed - much to the shock and scandal of his community, where hard work is revered above all else.
