Ion: Blestemul pamîntului, blestemul iubirii

This 1980 Romanian drama film is based on Liviu Rebreanu's 1920 novel of the same name and tells the story of Ion, a young Transylvanian peasant (played by Şerban Ionescu), who struggles with his feelings for his engaged fiancée Florica. When Ion marries Ana, he realizes too late that his true love remains Florica, and this realization ultimately leads to tragedy. The film explores themes of love, loss, and the consequences of one's choices.
