The Barber of Siberia

In 1885, foreign entrepreneur Douglas McCraken (Richard Harris) ventures to Russia with his assistant Jane Callahan (Julia Ormond). There, she meets Andrei Tolstoy (Oleg Menshov), a handsome young cadet with whom she shares a passion for opera, and General Radlov (Aleksei Petrenko), who becomes entranced by her beauty. As the story unfolds, Jane's life is forever changed by her relationships with these two men, leading to a complex web of love, loyalty, and tragedy in 19th-century Siberia.
