The Outlaw Josey Wales

At the end of the American Civil War, Josey Wales, a Missouri farmer-turned-soldier, seeks to avenge his family's brutal murder by those he trusted in the Union Army. A hardened man, Wales joins a group of pro-Confederate bushwhackers and later becomes an outlaw after they are slaughtered by bounty hunters and soldiers. Pursued by those who killed his comrades and betrayed him, Wales flees to Texas, where he finds friendship with a Cherokee veteran and navigates the treacherous landscape of the post-war South, ultimately facing down a ruthless adversary in a bloody showdown.
