The House on 92nd Street

The House on 92nd Street is a 1945 black-and-white American spy film directed by Henry Hathaway, shot mostly in New York City, and released shortly after World War II. The movie was made with the full cooperation of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), whose director, J. Edgar Hoover, appears during the introductory montage. William Eythe stars as Bill Dietrich, a double agent recruited by Agent George A. Briggs (Lloyd Nolan) to infiltrate and gather information on a network of Nazi fifth columnists operating in the USA.
