A 1954 American adventure film directed by Jerry Hopper, starring Robert Ryan as Matt Kelly, a crooked salmon fisherman who tries to steal his best friend's fiancée and put him out of business. As tensions rise between the fishermen and an organized gang that's robbing their traps, Jim Kimmerly (Brian Keith) unwittingly covers for Kelly's wrongdoings, while Kelly's affections for Nicki Jackson (Jan Sterling) become a complicated factor in his downfall.
