Private Property

This 1960 American independent crime film tells the story of two drifters, Duke and Boots, who prey on unsuspecting women after being denied physical contact themselves. They become obsessed with seducing a lonely housewife, Ann Carlyle, but their attempts ultimately lead to chaos and violence. With its low budget and daring subject matter, Private Property was considered disturbing at its initial release and was condemned by the Catholic Legion of Decency, only to be rediscovered and re-released in 2016 to critical acclaim.
